Acupuncture is the use of thin, sterile needles inserted into the body to create a balancing effect on the body and mind. E-stim involves the attachment of electric leads to acupuncture needles. This method allows a controlled electric current to pass through pairs of needles. It serves as a complementary approach to induce relaxation and alleviate pain, such as musculoskeletal pain and certain nerve-related conditions like sciatica.

Chinese herbs are generally taken in a balanced formula written or recommended by a practitioner. Formulas usually contain between 2 and 15 herbs chosen specifically to balance and enhance each other's qualities. Herbs are intended to address the root cause of the patient's illness, not simply to mask the symptoms.

Cupping is the use of glass, plastic, or silicone cups to create suction on the body. It strongly increases circulation to the area and can help reduce pain, release tight muscles, and break up fascial adhesions. Cupping leaves marks on the body which may last up to 7-10 days.

Moxibustion involves the burning of an herb known as Mugwort or Artemisia over the body. While this herb is typically ingested for pain relief, burning it over the body can effectively reduce pain and improve local circulation.

Tuina is a vigorous Chinese massage style designed to alleviate pain and tension in the body. Its primary goal is to balance the body's vital energy, known as Qi or Chi. It is often used to alleviate musculoskeletal pain, improve circulation, and promote relaxation.
